He most recently led Biotype GmbH as CEO where he was responsible for the strategy, development and commercialization of molecular-diagnostic multi-parameter tests utilizing several multiplex technologies.

Prior to that as a member of the executive leadership team at Immunodiagnostic Systems IDS he had responsibility for the entire reagent and system business.

Karim also held several senior strategic management positions within the Roche Diagnostics division, where he gained extensive experience in product specification, positioning, pricing, launch and globalmarketing for multiple international products.

Paul has developed and led high performing teams and businesses ranging from major blue-chip to start up organizations.

He has a passion for developing people and leading organizations through transformational change management processes in sales, marketing, operational and logistic roles accross global life science,biopharma and in-vitro diagnostic companies such as Becton Dickinson, Roche Diagnostics, and DiaSorin SpA.

Most recently as Managing Director atPrimerDesign, part of the Novacyt Group, and then as the groups Chief Business Officer, he delivered high double digital sales growth and profitability, and launched over 20 new products internationally.
